Mr Jason Pun is the Assistant Government Chief Information Officer of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. His main work focuses are cyber security and digital identity. He is responsible for, among others, participating in the formulation and management of government information security policies and incident response mechanisms, promoting awareness of cyber security, overseeing the provision of electronic identity and formulating standards and practice in the adoption of public key infrastructure.
Mr Pun joined the Government in 1987. Since then he has assumed various duties including the implementation of various government internal ICT systems and shared services, the development of guidelines and best practices in ICT project delivery, the facilitation for ICT industry development, the co-operation in ICT with the Mainland and overseas economies, and the promotion of digital inclusion in the community.
From 1987 to 2003, Mr Pun obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, a Bachelor of Laws degree, a Master of Arts degree in Public Policy and Management, and a Master of Laws degree in Information Technology Law.
