CSA HKM member discount for GDPR Workshop

GDPR Hands-On Workshop 2018Cloud Security Alliance Hong Kong & Macau Chapter will support the GDPR Hands-On Workshop 2018 organised by the Internet Society Hong Kong (ISOC HK) on June 26, 2018.

The practical hands-on EU-GDPR Workshop is led by European cyber security expert Anett Madi-Nator.  The 1-Day workshop takes a problem-solving approach to the GDPR compliance issue with case study of EU enterprises.  It will provide a multi-dimensional exposure to the problem, rather than a purely legal and compliance perspective.

As a supporting organisation, members of CSA HKM will receive an additional discount of HK$300 from the course fee (standard price $3800, early bird price $3500).

CSA HKM to support Video Ad Contest

Video Ad Contest 2018Cloud Security Alliance Hong Kong & Macau Chapter is supporting the “Stay Smart, Keep Cyber Scam Away” Video Ad Contest which is jointly organised by the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer, the Hong Kong Police Force and the Hong Kong Computer Emergency Response Team Coordination Centre.

The objective of the Video Ad Contest is to raise public awareness of cyber security and to encourage the adoption of security best practices, with a view to enhancing public concern about cyber scam.  Through creative and compelling video ad (not longer than 1 minute), participants can demonstrate how to guard against the cyber security threats we are facing and promote the best practices and smart tips to keep cyber scam away.

The prizes of the contest include iPhone 8, Apple Watch Nike+ Series 3, Polaroid R360 Camera, DJI Spark Fly More Combo, Nintendo Switch, Sphero bb-8 app-enabled droid, Cash Coupon and Book Coupon.  To recognise the active participation of schools, a “Most Supportive School Award” is available in the Secondary School and Primary School categories respectively.

CSA HKM supports PISA Security Jam 2018

PISA JAM 2018 is a full day information security conference to provide a platform to InfoSec practitioners and students to chat and exchanges their ideas.

CSA (HK & Macau Chapter) jointly organise and support the PISA JAM 2018. CSA Professional Development team worked with PISA JAM 2018 OC to organise and align a Cloud Application Security Broker (CASB) – Symantec and a Docker Security company – Aqua to send their representatives to conduct half day demo workshop on 26 May 2018 (Sat) afternoon.

During the workshop, audience and participants will be able to participate in the lab and demo exercise in the afternoon for 3 hours. Please feel free to join. CSA (HK & Macau Chapter) members can join as supporting organization member without charge.
