CSA HKM supports the ICT Conference 2025

Artificial intelligence (AI) is driving a wave of digital transformation across global industries, accelerating technology adoption and compelling professionals to integrate advanced AI solutions into daily operations. In Hong Kong, this transformation aligns with the Government’s “Smart City Blueprint 2.0,” which aims to leverage innovation and technology to create a world-leading smart city with robust economic growth and high living standards.

CSA HKM co-organises the Cyber Security Summit 2025

The Cloud Security Alliance Hong Kong & Macau Chapter is one of the organisers of the Cyber Security Summit Hong Kong 2025.

With the theme “Future-Proofing Digital Infrastructure: Harnessing AI for Enhanced Security and Resilience“, the event will delve into how the integration of AI and state-of-the-art cyber security technologies can bolster digital infrastructure against cyber threats.

The Summit will feature more than 20 speaking sessions, 3 panel discussions, covering a wide array of essential topics. Attendees will have the opportunity to network and exchange ideas with the expert speakers, and gain valuable insights.

Carrying the theme of “Navigating the Next Wave of AI and Digital Infrastructure Technologies’, the 2nd AI & Digital Infrastructure Summit 2025 Hong Kong will explore the essential IT products and services capabilities required for future digital infrastructure.  Cloud Security Alliance Hong Kong & Macau Chapter is a supporting organization of this summit.

Challenges of delivering cost-effective storage, bandwidth, and computing resources for GenAI will be also addressed and the importance of AI and Digital Infrastructure in your future planning will be highlighted.  This summit will explore a comprehensive road map for developing key digital infrastructure skills and AI across leadership, management, and staff levels, focusing on immediate, near-term, and long-term goals to create a robust and adaptable IT environment.

The Hong Kong ICT Awards (HKICTA) aims at recognising and promoting outstanding information and communications technology (ICT) inventions and applications, thereby encouraging innovation and excellence among Hong Kong’s ICT talent and enterprises in their constant pursuit of creative and better solutions to meet business and social needs.

As a supporting organization of the Smart Business Award, Cloud Security Alliance Hong Kong & Macau Chapter urges our members to actively participate in the three categories of Award, including the Emerging Technologies, Solution for Business and Public Sector Enterprise, and the Solution for SME.

CSA HKM Supports the Cybersec One Programme

The Cloud Security Alliance Hong Kong & Macau Chapter is supporting the Cybersec One programme, an initiative organized by the Hong Kong Internet Registration Corporation Limited.

Partnered with the Digital Policy Office and Hong Kong Police’s Cyber Security and Technology Crime Bureau, the programme aimed at providing free resources to help organisations embark on the ‘cybersecurity journey’ and strengthen their basic defense capabilities.

The programme is opened to all local secondary schools, primary schools, non-governmental organisations, and small and medium-sized enterprises to participate.

CSA HKM Supports Build a Secure Cyberspace 2025 Campaign

The “Let’s Secure as we Digitalise” Instant Messaging Apps Stickers Design Contest (“the Contest”) is jointly organised by the Digital Policy Office, the Hong Kong Police Force and the Hong Kong Computer Emergency Response Team Coordination Centre. This Contest aims to allow participants to understand the importance of cybersecurity through a fun and interactive way and to further raise public awareness of cybersecurity, hoping that a collaborative platform can be built to strengthen the city’s ability to combat cyberattacks.

Cyber Security Summit 2024

CSA HKM supports HKCERT Capture The Flag 2024

In recent years, cybersecurity has become one of the most prominent and talent-scarce fields in the information technology sector. Offensive and defensive cybersecurity, in particular, will be a key future demand for industry professionals. This has led to the rise of positions such as “Penetration Tester,” “Ethical Hacker,” and “Red Team Operator.” These roles require a deep understanding of programming, cryptography, application systems and etc. The mindset and techniques akin to those of hackers will also be the elements in order to quickly identify and patch security vulnerabilities.

Capture The Flag (CTF) competitions are designed to train these specific skills and mindsets. Participants must find hidden vulnerabilities in a simulated environment based on real systems to break through security defenses. Upon success, they capture “flags” and earn points. Such competitions are held worldwide to enhance security techniques, with some even featuring global rankings to compete for the title of the best in the world.

“HKCERT Capture The Flag 2024” is organised by the Hong Kong Computer Emergency Response Team Coordination Centre (HKCERT) and the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC), and is supported by the Cloud Security Alliance Hong Kong & Macau Chapter. At its fifth edition, it is one of the largest cybersecurity competitions in Hong Kong, featuring four categories: Secondary School, Tertiary, Open, and International.

CSA HKM supports the Cyber Security Staff Awareness Recognition Scheme

The Hong Kong Internet Registration Corporation Limited and ISACA China Hong Kong Chapter co-organise the first-ever cyber security staff awareness related organisation recognition scheme in Hong Kong – the “Cyber Security Staff Awareness Recognition Scheme”. The scheme currently open for application until August 31, 2024.

Cloud Security Alliance Hong Kong & Macau Chapter is a supporter of the scheme.

Assessment criteria include:

– Cyber Security Training
– Phishing Drill Participation
– Comprehensive Cyber Security Policy
– Reporting Channels for Cyber Security Issues
– Dissemination of Cyber Security Information

The organisers also provide free resources and assistance to help businesses and organisations achieve a higher level of recognition, thereby fostering cybersecurity protection within their entities and ultimately benefiting entire business environment.
